Biography

Connie is a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing social work in Texas for over 15 years.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas and holds a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington.  Connie has experience as a child advocacy center forensic interviewer, school therapist, and behavioral health care manager.  In 2010 Connie had to say goodbye to her beloved Boxer, Rebelito.  That event was the catalyst for Connie’s interest in Veterinary Social Work, specifically in the area of supporting those grieving as a result of companion animal loss.  Connie completed her VSWCP service hours at a state of the art Center for Veterinary Specialty + Emergency Care located in Lewisville, Texas.  The experience Connie received at the hospital prepared her to be a more effective grief support clinician.  Connie lives in Frisco, Texas with her husband and their four companion animals.
