Dr. Caroline Faust

Concurrent VSW/MSSW Intern

Biography

Dr. Caroline Faust is a veterinary social work intern pursuing her Masters in Social Work at the University of Tennessee.  She has previously received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from UT.

Dr. Faust grew up with a love of animals that has only flourished through experience in the field.  During her time in veterinary hospitals, she also developed an understanding of the extreme and unique stressors confronting animal care takers.  Impacted by personal experience and observation of those around her, she has found her passion in caring for those who care for animals.

Areas of special interest include compassion fatigue, wellness care, and grief counseling.  Currently, she has a practice offering in home euthanasia and veterinary hospice services in addition to her studies.

She resides in Jefferson County on her farm with her husband and their fur-babies.
