Dr. Pamela Linden

Biography

Dr. Linden earned her MSW ('01) and PhD ('08) from Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare. After 10 years administering residential and case management programs for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, Dr. Linden was a a Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute contributing to a study on outcomes of Kendra's Law. Dr. Linden was a full time Assistant Professor in the SBU School of Social Welfare from 2009-2015. Currently, Dr. Linden is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Stony Brook University School of Health Technology & Management and teaches service learning to Occupational Therapy students. Dr. Linden is the faculty advisor to the first Animal Assisted Therapy Club at Stony Brook University. Dr. Linden completed her VSW service hours at Paumanok Veterinary Hospital in Patchogue, NY. She and her husband, Steve, live on Long Island, NY with their dog, Dove.
