Biography
Heather Kimbell is a second year graduate student in the Social Work program at the University of Georgia with a focus on working with children and families. Heather received a grant for working with children with behavioral health needs and is interning at a child advocacy center, where she works with victims of trauma.
Heather has worked in different areas of social work including DFCS, the school system, hospice, and children’s healthcare. This work, her love for animals, and her experience in Dr. Reeve’s animal assisted social work class has inspired her to continue researching the benefits of animals.
