Patricia Reeves

PhD, MSW

Biography

Patricia M. Reeves, PhD, MSW is a Professor of Social Work at The University of Georgia. She led the development of a dual master’s degree program in Social Work and Public Health and has won numerous teaching awards. She teaches courses in qualitative research methods, human behavior theory and lifespan development, medical social work and, most recently, the human-animal bond and professional practice. She has served as a qualitative research methodologist on multi-year research projects focused on diverse problems such as the coping skills of individuals living with HIV/AIDS, teen dating violence, and the psychosocial needs of severely burn-injured children.
