Biography

Nicole Lang is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty-three years’ experience in the field of social work. She is currently the Assistant Director of Field Education at Boise State University, School of Social Work and has been there for almost five years. Prior to coming to Boise State, she worked as an administrator of a local non-profit serving people with disabilities for nineteen years. At that organization she held a variety of positions including running a behavioral health program and providing counseling services. Her most recent duties there included oversight of all programs, fundraising, community outreach and marketing as well public policy activities. She is still involved with the non-profit on a very part time basis as their Development Director and provides consultation on programs. In 2020 Nicole received her Veterinary Social Work Certificate from University of Tennessee, Knoxville She worked with WestVet Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Boise to do her keystone project and continues that work currently. She also has a small private practice where she provides consultation to local veterinary hospitals and counseling services. She is President of the Board of Directors for Spay and Neuter Idaho Pets, SNIP, Inc. and is active with National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network as a transporter and foster parent.
